Midway, the privately owned,fully integrated real estate investment and development firm, is pleased to announce Shannon Bedinger has joined the company’s leadership team as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications. In this role, she is responsible for guiding Midway’s corporate marketing initiatives as well as the strategic marketing and communications for its investments.
A real estate veteran with over 15 year of experience, Bedinger has a strong background in media relations, media buying, corporate brand development and marketing strategy. She most recently served as Vice President of Marketing at Transwestern, where she was responsible for overseeing the development of national communication and marketing plans for global clientele, key executives and internal campaigns;strategic influence for high-end development projects and executive leadership initiatives; spearheading annual brand planning processes; and leading national philanthropic partnerships. Bedinger’s career achievements stem from her ability to manage with creativity and collaboration. She is results driven, innovative and articulate, adaptable and able to lead a team to success.
Bedinger began her career in architecture before transitioning to marketing, and her love for the discipline is what ultimately drew her to Midway: “I’ve always admired their ability to create inspiring architectural environments and meaningful experiences for people,”she explains.
Highly involved in the Houston real estate community, Bedinger currently serves on NAIOP’s Communications Committee and recently accepted a position on the Alumni Association Board for The University of Houston’s Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture and Design. She has also served on committees for Urban Land Institute and Rice Design Alliance. Bedinger’s professional recognitions range from Society for Marketing and Professional Services’ “Best in Show” to two-time American Marketing Association Crystal Awards Finalist, and Gold Recipient-Hermes Creative Award to numerous company-wide awards from previous employers.

Bedinger earned a Bachelor of Environmental Design from Texas A&M University,graduating Cum Laude, and also holds a Master of Architecture from The University of Houston’s Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture and Design.
