LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch, an outdoor lifestyle shopping center managed by Poag Shopping Centers, announced several openings.
Crack Shack, a fried chicken chain based in San Diego, occupies 4,065 square feet next to Madison Reed for its entry to the Houston market. Nando’s, a South African restaurant serving spicy flame-grilled chicken, will open a 2,750-square-foot restaurant next to Jamba Juice this summer. The former Fish City Grill has reopened as Half Shells after completing a remodeling and rebranding. The 2,400-square-foot restaurant is next to Sweet Paris. Additionally, Studio 12.20, a lifestyle boutique offering women’s clothing, home decor and gifts, opened next to White House Black Market. The 4,680-square-foot boutique incorporates its sister store Studio 12.20 Next Gen, which focuses on children’s clothing. Other new tenants include Warby Parker and One Medical. Evergreen Commercial Realty provides leasing services for the center.
Houston Fitness Partners, a Planet Fitness franchisee operating 35 locations in the Houston area, is opening a health club at 13831 Southwest Freeway in Sugar Land’s Sugar Creek neighborhood. The gym’s Judgement Free Zone is designed to offer a welcoming fitness environment with cardio machines and strength equipment, 30-minute express circuits, flat-screen televisions and locker rooms. Memberships start at $1 down and $10 per month.
Aspen Dental leased 3,500 square feet in Brazos Town Center, at U.S. 59 and FM 762 in Rosenberg, from NewQuest Properties. Bob Conwell and Austen Baldridge of NewQuest Properties represented the landlord. Culver Stedman of Gulf Coast Commercial and Jamie Weaver of Arena Realty represented the tenant.
Karen’s Hallmark Shop leased 4,500 square feet in the Coles Crossing Shopping Center at 12330 Barker Cypress Road in Cypress. Wes Miller of Wulfe & Co. represented the landlord.
Bluestone Lane, an Australian-inspired coffee roaster and cafe with a health-focused menu, is coming to Rice Village. The cafe, opening Feb. 18 at 2412 University next to Parachute, is the company’s third in Houston along with the Heights and Uptown and among the largest of 60 locations nationwide. The cafe features a beach-themed decor and all-day breakfast, brunch and lunch, coffee drinks and wellness smoothie drinks.
Black Rock Coffee Bar, a national coffee chain founded in Portland, Ore., with a mission to be a positive force for the communities it serves, expanded in Houston with the opening of a store at 901 Dairy Ashford Road in the Memorial area. The boutique coffee chain has nearly 120 stores across seven states, including eight in Houston and 18 in Texas.
The Toasted Yolk Cafe, a full-service breakfast and lunch chain, is coming to Mont Belvieu. Prosperity Development Group purchased 2.1 acres on the north side of Interstate 10 East between the Grand Parkway and FM 3180 from the city of Mont Belvieu. Greg Shaw with Shaw Commercial Properties represented the seller. The site will house a 5,000-square-foot freestanding restaurant.
Ryde, a local cycling studio offering 45 minute workouts, plans to open a 2,330-square-foot location at 402 W. 11th St. in the Heights. Set to open in April, it will be the second location for Ryde. Ryan Neyland of Davis Commercial Real Estate represented the landlord, 2B Investments.
URBN Dental is expanding in Houston with a new location in CityCentre in February. The office, spanning nearly 2,000 square feet on Queensbury Lane next to Beverly Hills Rejuvenation Center, will provide a new option for people who work, live and shop at CityCentre, a development of Houston-based Midway at Interstate 10 and Beltway 8. The dental practice provides routine cleaning, fillings, crowns, root canals, dentures, implants, braces, teeth whitening, porcelain veneers, snoring and sleep apnea treatment and other services. Laura Harness of Retail by Midway represented the landlord, Trigate Capital of Dallas.
HCA Houston Healthcare opened a freestanding emergency room HCA Houston ER 24/7 Friendswood, at 225 E. Parkwood Ave. in Friendswood. A division of HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake, the location provides a full range of emergency services for adults and children.
Round Table Pizza leased 3,150 square feet at Fulshear Gaston Retail at 8323 FM 723 in Richmond. Nick Egan-Lovitt represented the landlord, KM Realty.
